Chris Wakefield was born in Rapid City, South Dakota in May of 1970.  He grew up in Salem and Keizer, Oregon as well as Sturgis, South Dakota.  At a young age he showed artistic talent with art class ranking favorite in school.  He was always painting something in a colorful, wild style including his car as a teenager.After spending time in Colorado, Hawaii, Australia and India, Chris moved to Alaska in 1993.  Here he met Jennifer, and they married in 1995.  Chris has done everything from commercial fishing to welding.  He was never content in any of his occupations, however, and after much inner struggle decided to answer the call within himself and pursue art as a career.
