"My objective is to accurately portray Southeastern Alaska and those who call it home," states Southeast Alaskan artist William G Stewart.
Lifelong relationships with pioneering Alaskans and a lifestyle reminiscent of his aged mentors are what generate the passion for his subject matter. Bill grew up working with boatbuilders and fisherman and later entered the logging industry in Southeast.
Along the way, he earned a degree in art from Seattle Pacific University and spent three years in Brussels,Belgium,where he worked as a illustrator. |
