Morning Star Studio is located in the South-Central town of HOmer,Alaska. Morning Star Studio is a co-op with three artist, Linda Jones,Dawn Cabana, and Shelly Fraley.
Art has always been a part of Lin's life. As a little girl, she learned to pull together color and design from her mother, a portrait painter and mixed media artist. Linda draws her inspiration from the beautiful Alaskan palette she has grown up in She is proficient in stained glass, fusing flame-work and mosaic.
Glass art has become a passion for Dawn Cabana who specializes in stained glass,fusing and mosaic. As a longtime Alaskan and commercial fisherwoman, Dawn brings her own fresh ideas and captures the beauty of the sea in her original art pieces.\
Originally inspired by her high school art teacher to learn stained glass, Shelly Fraley brings an enthusiasm to her art and teaching. She loves to show her students the fun and wonders of glass. She has a creative imagination and has an eye for detail,which shows in her many original designs. |
