Artist's narrative: Sunshine in May, up with a stretch, kids in the hay and no man to fetch. Yawn kinda grumpy, Spring comes too soon, den’s too damn lumpy, no Sockeye ‘til June. Slush through the brush and down a steep trail, stiff joints in no rush... hmm, that a Red tail? Sippin' crisp creek water, one eye on a pool, plunge and, "I caught’er! Mom didn’t raise no fool!"
A bright early salmon munched in delight, tail tossed to cubs scramblin’ the creek for a bite. Kings in July, Silvers ‘til September, an awesome supply and summer to remember. Soon after leaves fall, winter dens sthe now bury, but for now bellies pooch from delicious blue berry. Ahh, me in a tree, savoring life for good reason
and a portrait by V!? maybe she’ll cub-sit next season
