Sandhill Cranes build their summer nests in Alaska and winter from the mid-west to Florida.You can always tell the juveniles from the adults especially as they land, overcompensating and looking a bit uncertain and wobbly . The heads of these silver cranes are inset with red resin enamel for just that spark of color that we see in the wild ones.
