WILD CHERRY POST EARRINGS
Sterling silver post earring
We have beautiful Pincherry trees in interior Alaska. The fruit is small and tart with just a little bit of sweetness. Yet, it is the cherry blossoms that impress me most. Light clusters of fragrant white flowers attract great numbers of bees and butterflies. Pincherry trees are one of the few spring-time flowering trees that bloom in interior Alaska. Sometime I'll make a pie!
The most common cherry tree is the Chokecherry tree which grows not only in our yards but also in the wild throughout our hills. When they bloom the air is incredibly fragrant but they are short-lived, lasting about a week. It is a great time to take a walk and collect a bouquet.
