This is a state of the art harbor tug steaming merrily through the waters of Puget Sound. It is equipped with Z-drive propulsion – the props are inside nozzles that can rotate 360 degrees under the stern, allowing the boat to move in any direction, including sideways, and to rotate in place.

Tom Crestodina, an Alaskan fisherman, began making cutaway drawings in 2011 to connect with his young son, Franio, while he was out at sea.
