The Official Artist of the Iditarod, Jon Van Zyle, is announcing that after 42 years, the Official Iditarod Limited Edition Print Series has reached it’s final image. “Into the Mystic” will officially be the last Limited Edition Print in the Iditarod Series. Jon says “I was born in 1942, so I figured this year was as good a time as any to create a final, 42nd Official Iditarod Print”.

The 42 year traditional history of Jon’s Iditarod Print started a few years after Jon ran his first Iditarod race in 1976. Jon started painting his memories and experiences from the trail in 1977 with the first Iditarod Poster, and since fans couldn’t get enough, he created a Limited Edition Iditarod Print which debuted in 1982. For the past 42 years, fans and art lovers have collected the print series, with many art collectors securing the same signed, limited edition number every year.
