Born and raised in Michigan, Glen studied Fine Art and Sociology at Anderson University in Indiana. In 1993, he and his wife moved to Ketchikan.
His favorite medium is pen and ink but since moving to Ketchikan, he has developed a growing love-hate relationship with watercolor- love because "nothing captures the mood and beauty of Southeast Alaska like watercolor," and hate because "no medium is so difficult or unforgiving." More recently he has also been exploring bold colors and designs through his paper collages.
