This gillnetter is a modern classic: a 32-foot fiberglass Ohima powered by a Caterpillar 3208. These driftnet boats are found today in nearly every harbor from the Aleutians to Crescent City, but their greatest fame is from the Cook Inlet salmon fishery. This one can be seen scouting out the grounds with magnificent Mount Redoubt grumbling and smoking in the background.
Tom Crestodina, an Alaskan fisherman, began making cutaway drawings in 2011 to conncect with his young son, Franio, while he was out at sea.
