Biz Robbins grew up in northern Minnesota. She and her husband moved to Alaska where they taught in logging camps. Sadly, Biz's husband, Don passed away from cancer and Biz was left to carry on. Friends, students, and nature all became her emotional life jacket, giving hope, inspiration, reasons to live fully and allowing her time to learn to swim once again on her own.
Biz now lives in Ketchikan, Alaska, where she taught English and mathematics at the University of Alaska Southeast as an adjunct professor. Biz enjoys reading, cooking, hiking the trails in Ketchikan, walking the beaches, and corresponding with former logging camp students.
