Artist's narrative: My husband surprised me with a bracelet. Not a dancing circle of jingling splendor, a wide cylindrical shield of precious metal protecting my radial artery. It feels like an ever-present hand gently gripping my wrist. To some, it could trigger shackled reflections of past and present abuse, restraint on freedom of choice and unwanted control. To me, it’s a bold symbol of unconditional love, protection and feisty free expression. Love releases the past, empowers the present and guarantees the future. Please. Fly there. Today.
