Dapaw's Turning and Things

So nowadays I sign my work “by Dapaw.” I love to spend time in front of my lathe. Every piece of wood is different, and I very often change my plans as I start in on a new piece and it starts to reveal its true character. I’m often asked what my favorite wood is to turn. My answer- the piece everyone else passes by. Those pieces can often turn into something nobody expects."
