This is a drawing of an Alaska town in the summer with a power scow salmon tender at the city dock and two seiners and gillnetter tied up in the harbor. The sun is shining on the mountains in the background, and a church, radio station, cannery building and bar are seen in the townscape. In this drawing you can see the harbor bottom, which has some sunken treasures, including a barrel, Volkswagen, anchors and cables, and a sunken fishing boat. There is also a halibut lurking and a number of bright silvery salmon swimming through.
Tom Crestodina, an Alaskan fisherman, began making cutaway drawings in 2011 to connect with his young son, Franio, while he was out at sea.
