This is a cutaway drawing of a Northwest seine boat on a sunny day, skiff on the deck, heading in exactly the opposite direction as the salmon! The cutaway shows the empty fish hold, engine room with clothes drying, the refrigeration plumbing, the bunks in the fo'c'sle, and the lazaret with lots of fun details. It was made during the summer seine season of 2013.
Tom Crestodina, an Alaskan fisherman, began making cutaway drawings in 2011 to connect with his young son, Franio, while he was out at sea.
